Covid-19 Safety

OUR RESPONSIBILITY: At Gateway Church we are one big family. When you enter our building you will find a friendly and accepting church, but we also feel the responsibility to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our people and our special guests. That has always been our goal and will continue to be during this season.

That said, we will not be “policing” people to follow guidelines, but instead ask you to take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for yourself and your family.

WE WILL RESPECT PEOPLE'S PERSONAL DECISIONS during this time ... some may attend online only, some will attend in person and want to wear a mask or gloves, etc, some will attend without a mask and we will choose to respect and love people wherever they are in this process.

With this in mind, here are the steps we are taking to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and the safety guidelines:
  • We will encourage people to adhere to the six-feet SOCIAL DISTANCING guidelines while on the church property. If you chose to not social distance, please be respectful of those who choose to maintain social distancing and greet them with words, a wave or a long distance high five.

  • We will also continue to provide HAND SANITIZER at multiple locations. We recommend that everyone wash their hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering the building.

  • We welcome anyone who chooses to wear a FACE COVERING or other personal protection equipment. We will provide face coverings in case someone requests one. Masks are NOT REQUIRED.

  • Before Sunday morning service, the sanctuary, restrooms, classrooms and other high-touch surfaces are cleaned and DISINFECTED.

  • WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO CONTINUE GIVING ONLINE.  Before and during service, there will be offering buckets & offering envelopes available at the back of the sanctuary to allow you to drop your offering into a box, touch-free.

Things can change often throughout this process, so we may adjust this plan or extend these guidelines further if necessary. So these plans are subject to change as the situation develops. If you have further questions about our guidelines, please feel free to contact our office at 615-792-5978.
